How booking a photographer in Cape Town works
- Send your date and shoot type. Use the form: date, area or venue, and what you want photographed. A rough idea of hours or the number of people helps.
- Get availability and a written quote. The quote should state the hours of coverage, how many edited images you receive, the delivery time and any travel or location fee.
- Secure the date. A deposit usually reserves the date. Popular spring and summer Saturdays and matric dance weekends go first.

Where we shoot: Cape Town, the Helderberg and the Winelands
Our lead photographer is based in Somerset West, so the Helderberg (Somerset West, Strand and Gordon's Bay) is home ground. Shoots run across the Cape Town metro, from the Atlantic seaboard beaches to the northern suburbs, and out to the Winelands for weddings and family sessions.
Your photographer
Your shoot is photographed by our lead photographer, who is based in Somerset West and works across Cape Town, the Helderberg and the Winelands, including Stellenbosch and Paarl. She specialises in weddings, engagements and family shoots, photographs matric dances, and describes her style as light, airy and natural: relaxed direction, real expressions and soft, true-to-life colour.
There is no studio. Every session happens on location: a beach, a garden, a wine farm, your home or your office. Photos are delivered through a private online client gallery. Wedding dates for 2026 and 2027 are open.
Questions people ask
How much does a photoshoot cost in Cape Town?
A one-hour portrait or family photoshoot in Cape Town costs about R1,000 to R2,950 on current published price lists. Two hours run from about R1,900 to R4,650, maternity sessions R1,600 to R2,900, newborn sessions R2,500 to R4,500 and weddings from about R9,000 for four hours to R18,000 and more for a full day.
Do you have a studio?
No. Every session is on location: a beach, garden, wine farm, your home or your office. Outdoor light and real places are the point of the style.
Which areas do you cover?
The Cape Town metro, the Helderberg (Somerset West, Strand, Gordon's Bay), Stellenbosch, Paarl and the northern suburbs including Durbanville. Ask about anywhere else in the Western Cape.
How far in advance should I book?
Book weddings as soon as you have a date and venue; 2026 and 2027 dates are open now. Matric dance dates cluster on the same weekends, so book a few weeks ahead. Family, maternity and headshot sessions need less notice.
How do I receive my photos?
Edited images are delivered through a private online client gallery that you can download from and share.
